About Faith

Like so many, my early years were shaped by a series of experiences that had a lasting impact on my emotional development. Lacking the tools to navigate those challenges, I developed unhealthy coping behaviors at the age of 14 as a way to alleviate the weight of depression and anxiety. From 14 to 22, I moved through life in a kind of functional fog. It was after Christmas of 2005 that I reached a turning point and decided it was time to really tackle the issues preventing me from thriving.
I share this part of my story not for sympathy, but because it forms the foundation of everything I do, including my art classes and art facilitation work. My inner artist was buried beneath the struggle for survival. It wasn’t until much later — after years of traditional therapies and professional experience — that I rediscovered creative expression as a healing life force. Today, I weave mindful practices into every program I facilitate, rooted in the belief that creativity is not just for kids and healing doesn’t always need to be a clinical endeavor.
I believe in the power of play — especially for adults.
I believe that healing can begin now, in the present moment.
I believe that one person can change the entire course of your life.
I believe that sometimes, expression is the medicine our souls need.
